Captiva adds PDF to forms processing packages

A new partnership between Captiva Software and Adobe adds PDF capabilities to document capture and forms processing operations.

Captiva's Genesis (for those processing less than 2,500 documents per day) and FormWare Version 2.5 (for enterprise-level processing needs) can now capture, enhance and index text and layout information from structured and unstructured documents in PDF files, which can then be printed or published to the Web.

Genesis ($4,000 per license) was announced in April and is now shipping. FormWare v.2.5 ships next month, priced at $35,000 for a four-station network
