CA Unicenter TNG Now Supports Qualstar Tape Libraries
Computer Associates' (Islandia, NY) Unicenter TNG enterprise management system now supports Qualstar's (Canoga Park, CA) TLS line of automated tape libraries. Qualstar has also joined Computer Associates' Development Partner Program. CA supports for Qualstar libraries under an internal specification, co-developed by Legato Systems (Palo Alto, CA) and Spectra Logic (Boulder, CO), that provides an object model and schema for storage-specific entities and their methods. The agreement "provides our clients with a highly reliable solution for managing the intricacies of data storage and retrieval," according to Carl Hartman, Computer Associates' VP of development partner programs. "We are pleased to welcome Qualstar to the Unicenter TNG solutions family."
