Business unification

Day has released Communique Unify, which has been designed to provide a robust infrastructure to efficiently manage and unify all digital content, information and processes throughout the enterprise. The company reports the 100% Java product provides flexibility and connectivity in the management of content for use in internal/external workflows and multichannel publishing initiatives.

Communique Unify is built on the Content Bus, a platform-independent software architecture that focuses on accessing, unifying, managing and publishing all digital content via multiple channels such as Web, wireless and XML, says Day. The company adds that the ContentBus is a virtual repository for all enterprise content that turns raw data from any container or software system into manageable and reuseable content. It allows real-time read/write access to any data source, including file systems, databases, middleware, EAI tools, enterprise or custom applications and legacy business systems.

Day goes on to explain the ContentBus unifies heterogeneous raw data from the various sources in a data abstraction layer, homogenizes it with common content services and allows single point of access to any data source.
