Bridging the knowledge gap

As part its enterprise automation initiative, Tacit has entered into an agreement with IBM Global Services to develop a new knowledge management service, Enterprise Knowledge Gap (EKG). Designed to allow allows customers to identify areas of knowledge critical to their business, EKG determines if that knowledge is present within the organization and identifies gaps in how it is shared and applied across the enterprise.

IBM knowledge management consultants will work with EKG customers to analyze areas of corporate knowledge and expertise determined to be critical to business success. Using Tacit expertise automation technology, EKG analyzes an organization's electronic content for specific areas of expertise, common practices and experiences and relevant communities of individuals. IBM consultants analyze the resulting data and use this information to deliver a strategy for more effective knowledge and expertise asset discovery, exchange and management.
