Box takes higher education to the cloud
Box has launched Box for Education and a new unlimited storage offering for higher education institutions that adopt Box through the Internet2 NET+ initiative, which is designed to help U.S. universities facilitate deployment of cloud technologies.
Box for Education will help education institutions:
- develop custom departmental workflows to speed collaborative processes,
- create workspaces that facilitate new ways of connecting and learning, and
- reduce risk and simplify the governance of user IT.
Box claims it is committed to working with an ecosystem of partners to provide innovative technology solutions that modernize the classroom experience. Education platform partners include leading learning management systems (LMS) and education applications. Box also works with a host of security, governance and compliance partners to provide the services for universities as they manage their content in the cloud.
