BlueStep upgrades its offerings

BlueStep has released version 3.1 of its signature software. The integrated Web-based applications suite is designed to manage information, teams and projects via the Web. The new software includes upgraded versions of Connect, Team and Relate, collaborative tools used in the professional services/consulting, franchise/hospitality and association/non-profit sectors.

BlueStep explains that Connect is an Internet-based site creation and management tool for networks of private intranets, public portals and company extranets. New features in 3.1 include: a style manager for control of brand identity, security groups to facilitate login and access, improved HTML editor and integration with Relate.

Team is designed as a Web-based collaboration tool that helps groups, committees and teams work together more effectively and efficiently, says BlueStep. This modules uses the Internet as a common base for tracking and assigning projects and tasks, sharing documents, images, files, links, news articles and other information. It also enables discussions, chats, surveys, etc.

Relate is a data management add-on to Connect that permits organizations to capture information within Connect Internet sites. BlueStep says it allows user profiles to be personalized by the client to suit their specific reporting needs and serves as a channel for end-users to communicate back to the organization via custom data-capture forms.
