Big moves for Documentum

Documentum has unveiled a new Web content management package, 4i Web Content Management (WCM) Edition, which is designed to streamline and simplify the production and delivery of, Web content. WCM Edition shortens time-to-Web by allowing companies to shift the burden of content production from the technical team charged with building, maintaining and deploying the site to the business owners of the content.

Automated features alleviate the content bottleneck and reduce the Web team's burden. More contributors within the company can directly add to a site, while preserving the integrity of layout, format, corporate standards and approval cycles.

WCM Edition is comprised of several products from the Documentum 4i eBusiness Platform bundled with prescribed training and maintenance. Products included are: Documentum WebPublisher for content authors, Web Developer Kit for Web developers, Content Personalization Services to fuel targeting of content via personalization engines, AutoRender for automated transformation of content into appropriate Web formats and Site Delivery Services for content delivery to Web sites. The package is offered at three levels, depending on the size of deployment needs, with prices starting at approximately $200,000.

Further, Documentum and BroadVision have formed an alliance to combine Documentum’s content management platform with BroadVision's One-To-One Enterprise. To strengthen the agreement, BroadVision has become a reseller of the platform.

Documentum has also partnered with Autonomy. The integration of Autonomy’s pattern recognition technology will enable Documentum 4i Portal Edition customers to create a solution for automatically categorizing, tagging publishing and distributing information assets, regardless of format and structure.

Further, Documentum and Art Technology Group (ATG) announced that they are strengthening their existing alliance by integrating Documentum 4i with ATG Dynamo 5 e-Business platform. The result will be an open-standards architecture that allows customers and partners to deploy solutions to build and maintain e-business applications.

And, Top Tier Software, has joined Documentum's Signature Partner Program, which will enable the companies to move forward with plans to integrate TopTier's eBusiness Integration Portal with Documentum's 4i Portal Edition.
