BancTec Purchases Scanning Software From Star Technologies

BancTec (Dallas) has purchased $2 million worth of scanning software from Star Technologies

(Sterling, VA) to add to a new microfilm scanner. BancTec will integrate PowerScan scanner driver software and StageWorks Office post-scan processing software into a new microfilm-based digital capture product. "We were impressed by how quickly and easily the PowerScan suite integrated with our product," said BancTec VP Joe Petruzella. The contract runs for twenty months, and is Star's second deal with a major scanner company; Star signed an OEM agreement with Fuji Photo Film USA (Elmsford, NY) in September.
