Baan and Aspect Development Sign Partnership Agreement

Streamlining component and supplier management (CSM) is the goal of a partnership agreement between Baan (Menlo Park, CA) and

Aspect Development (Mountain View, CA). The deal combines Baan's ERP solution, integration and database support with Aspect Development's Explore decision support software and VIP data content. The two-part agreement includes the establishment of a joint development team as well as reselling rights for Baan's sales force to offer Aspect's CSM solution and integration to Baan customers. Future developments of the agreement, including seamlesssharing of business data between the two enterprise systems, as well as the development of Java-based solutions, will be handled by a joint effort based in India. "Together, Baan and Aspect can bring a world class-solution to market, while allowing each organization to focus on its core business," said Baan chairman and CEO Jan Baan.
