Appian and iWay partner

Appian and iWay Software, an Information Builders company, have announced a strategic partnership that will focus on providing integration adapters to the Appian Enterprise BPM Suite. Appian claims the alliance will expand the reach of its BPM solution into existing legacy and commercial enterprise applications, while significantly reducing the costs and complexities typically associated with integrating multiple, disparate information systems.

Appian says using iWay Software's Universal Adapter Framework, its customers can take full advantage of Appian Enterprise to rapidly integrate third-party applications into their business processes. iWay offers more than 280 integration adapters for Appian Enterprise, providing tools to connect to virtually any legacy system, mainframe, database and commercial enterprise without any custom coding, says iWay.

Appian adds that Enterprise 4 ships with a standard interface to the iWay Universal Adapter framework and includes step-by-step integration wizards that allow users to create reusable connections to the most commonly used business applications, including PeopleSoft, Oracle and SAP.
