Apollo Enters Agreement to Provide Imaging and Content Management Technology for Quest Diagnostics’ ChartMaxx Solution

Apollo Enterprise Imaging Corp, a provider of enterprise imaging and clinical multimedia management solutions, has entered into a strategic agreement with Quest Diagnostics to provide an enterprise imaging and content management solution for use with ChartMaxx, an enterprise content management (ECM) solution from Quest.

With the combined solution, the companies say, hospitals and health systems that use ChartMaxx will be able to manage, retrieve and share a broader array of clinical multimedia, images, documents and data within the ChartMaxx platform.

Much of the content hospitals generate to care for patients, including DICOM and PACS images, is image-rich, large in data size, and difficult to manage. Apollo EPMM (Enterprise Patient Multimedia Manager) provides clinicians a single integrated solution to acquire, store, view and share the entire clinical multimedia spectrum generated by all subspecialties across the healthcare enterprise.

Apollo EPMM streamlines workflows across 45 clinical specialties and is the only solution that can enhance clinical collaboration by enabling healthcare professionals to access their patients’ original clinical multimedia content and results through the EMR or directly via the Apollo platform.

ChartMaxx provides users with 24/7 concurrent access to medical record information, including structured and unstructured data across the healthcare enterprise.

According to Mark Newburger, Apollo CEO, the integration will enable Apollo and Quest Diagnostics to provide the more comprehensive and secure enterprise imaging and content management, and, combined with familiar systems already used by providers, the solution will help enhance collaborative care.
