Claiming the new release of AskMe Enterprise has 50% greater capability than its predecessor, the company says Version 6.5 offers a total of 154 features in a single application.

AskMe says major new features include:

  • automated best practices,

  • automatic experts' profile creation,

  • addition of numerous methods for accessing and delivering knowledge,

  • integrated real-time collaborative services, and

  • comprehensive analytic capabilities.

The company says AskMe Enterprise Version 6.5 is designed to integrate with existing business processes, adding that its business rules and workflow engine enables organizations to define scenarios and appropriate actions that the system should take when an employee faces a critical business issue. These actions are automatically triggered when the system identifies a matching scenario.

Inclusion of XML Web services empowers organizations to rapidly reuse portions of their Employee Knowledge Network with the existing infrastructure. Employee profiles, for example, can be leveraged as a Web service in myriad of enterprise applications including corporate portals and document management systems.

AskMe says that by utilizing .Net, V 6.5 offers:

  • Fast, cost-effective integration through platform-agnostic, standards-based support for Web services, XML, SOAP and UDDI; and

  • enhanced security because the software is delivered through delivered through an N-tiered architecture that enables placement into an organization's secure enterprise infrastructure.
