Another host for the portal party

Mongoose Technology is offering its PortalStudio product suite on a limited availability basis to select partners. The company reports the software is a portal assembly tool that allows Web designers and programmers to assemble enterprise portals from a library of Mongoose Technology and third-party WebComponents and WebConnectors. General availability of the product is expected to be announced in early Q4 2000.

PortalStudio includes: the Mongoose Visual Portal Authoring Toolset, WebComponent Library, WebConnector Library, Mongoose PortalStudio Server, XML Mapper and a Portal Framework that includes the WebComponent and WebConnector Java APIs. Mongoose PortalStudio is written from the ground up to employ new Web technology, including the J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) platform. The J2EE platform supports the growing number of JDBC XML, and third-party WebConnectors that allow customers to leverage their existing investments in J2EE.
