Altris signs with British Telecommunication
Altris Software (San Diego, http://www.altris.com) has signed a contract to provide 110 concurrent enterprise document management software licenses to British Telecommunication (BT) Group property services. Comprised of an Altris' Pro EDM system and computer aided design (CAD) software from Excitech Computers Ltd. (London), the solution will be used to streamline BT Group's engineering and facilities management processes.
Documents relating to more than 9,000 properties will be stored on a RAID system in London with a central database located in Sheffield. Users from 28 regional sites will have access to engineering documentation and the ability to view, markup, annotate, edit, print, fax and store electronic copies of facilities documentation and drawings.
