Process automation provider Active Endpoints has released ActiveVOS 9.0 Enterprise Edition as well as a new Data Center Edition. The company claims these new releases offer a highly scalable and secure SOA-based business process management (BPM) system that supports multitenant virtual partitioning and resource sharing, as well as multisite clustering for large IT organizations to deploy private clouds. The system also enables software-as-a-service (SaaS) providers to deploy more cost-effective public clouds.

Additional feature highlights of ActiveVOS 9.0 Enterprise and Data Center Editions include:

  • enhanced process designer--uses BPMN 2.0 modeling constructs and a new relationship view that highlights dependencies, BUnit code coverage reports and a new XQuery editor;
  • new performance dashboard--a single place to monitor server health, request performance and throughput, perform application tuning and identify resource and service bottlenecks;
  • new high-performance dispatch manager--makes transaction throughput more predictable by eliminating the slowdown that occurs when incoming traffic spikes unexpectedly; and
  • new and improved standards support--fully compliant with BPMN 2.0, XQuery 3.0 and XSLT 2.0 standards.
