AT&T's Sterling buys Comergent

Sterling Commerce, a subsidiary of AT&T, has completed its acquisition of Comergent in a move designed to deliver an end-to-end order management solution. Sterling Commerce says the acquisition will enable it to provide what it says will be a seamless customer experience across both supply and demand processes.

Comergent reports it offers an e-Business Platform and Application Suite that simplifies and improves selling and distributed order management processes for complex products. These applications complement the existing Sterling Commerce Supply Chain Application Suite. Designed to work easily with existing enterprise applications, the suite manages the processes associated with warehousing, transportation, distributed order fulfillment and supply visibility.
