ATG launches Version 6.2

ATG (Art Technology Group) has introduced ATG 6.2, which includes Web services-enabled capabilities for ATG Commerce and the ATG Relationship Management Platform.

The company says that through ATG Web Services, companies will have the ability to easily and quickly access ATG Commerce capabilities such as inventory, catalogs and pricing without having to install middleware products. Further, it claims, the new capability will enable customers to facilitate use of its Scenario Personalization feature throughout their organization to provide the most relevant information, promotions and products at the most opportune time.

Also, says the company, by allowing disparate technologies to access ATG Commerce and the ATG Relationship Management Platform, business users discover important data in real time to make decisions leading to reduced costs, increased sales and lower total cost of ownership. Additionally, ATG Web Services will allow Microsoft .Net users to take advantage of ATG solutions in their own environment without having to change platforms.
