ADAC HCIS unveils PACS system

ADAC HealthCare Information Systems (HCIS) has released the ENVOI information and image management system for accessing and distributing radiology images and reports. The client/server-based system combines an intranet server for accessing and viewing images and reports online with IBM's MedSpeak voice recognition software and an Oracle relational database. ENVOI is designed to help radiology departments manage workflow, improve report turnaround time, and provide enterprisewide access to reports and images, according to ADAC HCIS president and COO Trace Devanny.
