A true knowledge platform

Contextware has unveiled the latest version of its flagship software, which is designed to help enterprises capture, organize, distribute and operate more effectively around business processes, content and resources.

Key capabilities of Contextware OS 2.3 include:

Multiple organization support and security. The same instance of Contextware can securely support multiple organizations and multiple information taxonomies within the same enterprise, allowing enterprises to deploy Contextware to meet a wide range of discrete activities. This capability also permits enterprises to use Contextware as a secure partner, supplier and customer process portal.

Enhanced usage reporting. V 2.3 offers expanded ability to run configurable filtered queries on usage at the user, process, activity and asset level, as well as data export function allowing for additional external reporting.

Improved process authoring. This new feature includes a visual HTML editor, expanded process metadata and an integrated KM mode interface.

Expanded taxonomy management. With the ability to quickly and easily modify taxonomical structures, information requirements can evolve and stay synchronized with business requirements.

New search features. Refinements to search functionality in the new version increases its usefulness by leveraging natural language capabilities.

Web help. A Web-based "how-to" help function is centrally managed using the Contextware platform to provide information, FAQs and support for client installations.

Technology and architecture enhancements in Contextware OS V 2.3 include full cross browser support (IE, Firefox, Netscape, Opera, Safari) and enhancements to the user interface in the work, authoring and administration user interfaces.
