Nuxeo has unveiled Version 5.5 of its enterprise content management platform, which offers a complete set of ECM applications, including document, digital asset and case management, as well as social collaboration features, mobile readiness and an improved developer experience.

The company explains Nuxeo Platform 5.5 is especially well suited for deploying a large range of solutions in a single repository--from basic to customized, vertically specific, content-centric applications.

Nuxeo emphasizes the follow new capabilities:

  • social collaboration—new social workspaces, an activity stream, circle-based relationship network management and micro-messaging with a searchable and traceable flow;
  • mobile Android readiness—an Android client SDK is delivered separately, offering API access to power customization, synchronization and client-side storage, as well as authentication and offline capabilities; and
  • enhanced developer environment—tools to boost productivity and improve the experience, providing faster time to market and better quality of content management projects.
