At KMWorld 2018, Laurent Fanichet, vice president of marketing at Sinequa, accepted the 2018 KMWorld Promise Award on behalf of the company.

“Winning the KM Promise Award at KMWorld 2018 in Washington DC, in front of hundreds of knowledge managers and experts is great validation of the value of our approach and the completeness of our solution,” said Fanichet. “It reaffirms our commitment to offer our customers the most advanced cognitive search and analytics platform to provide them with relevant and contextual insights to make better decisions, drive innovation and achieve greater operational efficiencies.”

Sinequa is an independent software vendor providing a cognitive search and analytics platform for Global 2000 companies and government agencies that connects people with the information, expertise, and insights necessary to help them become information-driven. This means providing actionable information presented in context to surface insights, inform decisions, and elevate productivity, consistently and reliably.

The Sinequa platform incorporates artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing to ingest and analyze structured and structured data from disparate data sources, packaged in a single solution with a user-friendly interface.

For example, ones of the biggest challenges facing pharmaceutical knowledge workers is the information sprawl and limited availability of tools that they can depend on to do their jobs and unify the information landscape. Global biopharmaceutical company Celgene dealt with these challenges using Sinequa’s Cognitive Search & Analytics platform to generate new insights from vast scientific research and enterprise data, accelerating business and product innovation. With Sinequa, according to Shefali Pathak, global search service owner, Celgene, the company’s knowledge management workers benefit from a search-based application for drug safety that enables rapid assimilation of new insights and reduces the time needed for data mining for information about adverse events from an average of 2 minutes to less than 5 seconds per search across multiple repositories.

The KMWorld Promise Award adds to what has already been “a fantastic year for Sinequa,” said Fanichet. “We are the leader for the third time in a row in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Insight Engines, and we are experiencing triple-digit growth as we continue to expand in North America with the opening of an office in San Francisco, among other major milestones.”
