Farm industry journal drawn to digital engagement platform

Farm Journal Media has selected a new platform to power its Professional Farmers of America Web site.

The media company chose Bridgeline Digital’s iAPPS platform because of its scalability and integration of essential digital engagement tools on a single, unified platform. The iAPPS platform enables users to publish and optimize Web content using iAPPS Content Manager, execute e-mail marketing initiatives and manage distribution lists with iAPPS Marketier, and enhance the effectiveness of Web strategies through iAPPS Analyzer, Bridgeline Digital says.

The PFA site is a source for agricultural information, including commodity markets, farm policy and breaking news. To maintain its status in the farming industry, PFA is continuously producing high volumes of content—more than 150 pieces weekly, which includes extensive use of video and podcasts. The organization will use the iAPPS platform to increase subscriptions via e-mail marketing campaigns and short-term access to premium content, which will be tied to bundled promotions.

Chuck Roth, senior VP of Farm Journal Media, says, “We required a robust digital engagement platform for one of our flagship Web properties, the Pro Farmer website. iAPPS was the clear choice for its scale, integrated platform and overall value. In addition, the Bridgeline team has a proven track record in developing and designing websites that are engaging and intuitive, and can drive increased traffic and membership. We are excited to have selected Bridgeline and the iAPPS platform for the launch of our next-generation Pro Farmer site.”
