Clinical collaboration

A clinical trials provider is using an online collaboration suite to help with its pharmaceutical, biotech and medical research. Managers and employees of ClinicAid Research Management are connecting to collaboration technology from HyperOffice. The solution provides such capabilities as online file storage with built-in version controls, audit trails and security appropriate for online project and data management. ClinicAid plans to extend use of the solution to physician investigators and pharmaceutical sponsors, according to a recent press release from HyperOffice.

Dr. Dwight Tapp, ClinicAid CEO, says, "In order to keep up with the demand and growth of services, we needed a scalable, but affordable enterprise solution that integrated essential business tools. One option was to invest time, effort and capital into an expensive architecture of servers, software and outside technology consultants. HyperOffice was a perfect alternative for us.

"Unlike many Web solutions, which provide limited business applications, HyperOffice offers a suite of business tools in a secure and reliable online environment without any upfront IT costs ... With it, we achieve a world-class collaboration and communication platform that adds to our business capabilities, operational agility and responsiveness to customers without the constraints of traditional IT platforms."

The software as a service solution enables organizations to communicate, plan projects, share and edit online documents, schedule meetings and manage information any time from any Internet connection.
