iMarkup teams with Vignette

iMarkup announces an integrated content management, document annotation and markup solution. The joint offering combines Vignette V7 content management products and iMarkup Server V4 to allow text markups, sticky notes, freeform drawings and other types of annotations to be applied to all types of Web formats, from HTML and ASP to JSP and PDF. iMarkup says the solution addresses the needs of teams and workgroups to collaborate with one another in real time, and allows organizations to maintain a chronological record of rapidly changing enterprise information.

The combination of iMarkup annotation capabilities and Vignette content management is said to provide visual and dynamic markup capabilities that can be used throughout an organization's review and approval workflow process. iMarkup says the enhanced communication within and across organizations, including Web-based environments, enables members of workgroups to collaborate more effectively when reviewing and approving content, facilitating faster time-to-completion for both documents and digital content
