e-Commerce gets a boost from FAST

Fast Search and Transfer (FAST) has released ImPulse, a complete B2B and B2C e-commerce solution. The Dynamic Merchandising features of FAST ImPulse include:

  • a promotion manager to define and modify promotions in real time,
  • location-specific promotions that present contextually relevant offers,
  • category-based promotion management, and
  • roles-based team collaboration.

The search and navigation features of FAST ImPulse include advanced product search, including sophisticated linguistics analysis; flexible, multidimensional navigation, which allows buyers to rapidly find what they are looking for; personalized merchandising to provide individually relevant promotions; and dynamic, location-sensitive promotions.

FAST says a critical component of ImPulse is its ability to help business managers better understand how people are shopping on their site. Extensive reporting and analytics give them insight into what people are doing and not doing, enabling them to tune the system to drive additional revenue.
