Built upon its MindServer platform, Recommind's MindServer Media is said to save time and improves information sharing among content managers, editors and librarians by tagging, routing and retrieving news feeds, articles and other text.
Recommind says its new offering can be operated in a fully automated or semi-automated mode, giving content experts control over their work processes. The software categorizes text into multiple taxonomies according to the concepts mentioned in a news story. Further, it employs text extraction techniques to identify and process documents containing specific people names, organization names and geographic places. GUI-based tools enable content experts to create and manage taxonomies while flexible configuration options enable control of categorization performance, says the company.
