SER Solutions has announced SERsynergy 4.1. Targeted at financial institutions, the latest release offers new workflow and versioning capabilities within the SERsynergy Document Module.
Working in conjunction with the SERsynergy suite, the company says, the new Workflow Management Module is designed to route documents, reports and check images electronically to key personnel within, and across, departments according to an institution's business model. SER says a financial institution can assign and balance workload throughout its entire organization, departments and/or teams; send automatic e-mail notifications to workers when there are tasks to perform; and alert supervisors and senior management when tasks take too long to complete. Additionally, says SER, organizations can design and implement new and changing business processes employing a GUI-based tool, minimizing the need for costly programming skills.
SER says its Workflow Management Module allows financial institutions to optimize their business processes, such as loan origination/servicing, account opening/closing, credit card application processing, trust administration and customer service management.
The company says another significant enhancement to Version 4.1 is the ability to provide version control of documents and images stored in the SERsynergy repository. SERsynergy Version Management gives users the capability to check out documents prior to making changes and check in the changed document so that others can view the changes. Those and other version management capabilities are assignable to individual users and groups of users, ensuring document modifications are only made by authorized personnel.
