FileNet adds to its lineup

FileNet claims its Team Collaboration Manager (TCM) is the first Web-based, out-of-the-box solution to deliver team collaboration fully integrated with content management and fully functional business process management (BPM) capabilities.

The offering is reportedly designed to provide the structure and tools—including ad hoc tasks, discussion forums, Web meetings and interactive polls—to enable group members to share information, participate in structured and unstructured processes and handle exceptions to those processes across geographic or functional areas. FileNet further touts TCM as a way to capture all related content and streamline processes to increase productivity, lower costs and promote knowledge exchange for helping implement corporate guidelines for best-practice execution and regulatory compliance.

FileNet explains TCM is built with an architecture geared to implement comprehensive business process management (BPM) capabilities, allowing users to plan, communicate and resolve issues within the context of processes that run and drive the business, while conforming to corporate best practices and compliance requirements.
