Essentio unveils Archivist 3.0

Essentio has released Archivist 3.0, a data management solution designed to improve system performance, mitigate risk and achieve and maintain compliance. The company claims Archivist helps enterprises manage their data growth by automatically classifying and archiving inactive, non-essential and outdated data, while maintaining referential data integrity.

The company says Archivist 3.0 includes major enhancements that expand Archivist's active data management, including automated archival processes and ease of use across more enterprise platforms through enhanced workflows and more robust compliance functionality. Further, the company explains, Archivist 3.0 includes built-in approval workflows that ensure that proper notifications and approvals are made prior to archiving. Additionally, Archivist fully automates archival processes, ensuring legal, regulatory and organizational compliance requirements are met. Complete audit trails maintain detailed records of all notifications, approvals and archiving events. Archivist 3.0 also helps ensure compliance with corporate retention policies and SOX requirements.

Essentio adds that Version 3.0 is fully compatible across most widely used enterprise systems and integrates with all leading database platforms, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and IBM DB2, as well as leading operating systems, including Windows, Unix, Linux, AIX and System i. Archivist is also said to be flexible enough to work with all ERP systems, including Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP and Lawson.
