Captiva and Hyland join forces

Captiva Software and Hyland Software report they have forged a cooperative marketing alliance whereby the two companies will collaborate on document capture and integrated document management (IDM) sales opportunities in the healthcare, mortgage and other vertical markets. As part of the partnership, Hyland will enhance the export module for InputAccel and InputAccel Express, Captiva's document capture solutions, which will allow those products to more seamlessly transfer captured documents into Hyland's OnBase IDM software system.

The companies say the streamlined product integration will allow them to capture business-critical information and make it available to users within the enterprise more quickly and accurately. Captiva claims InputAccel and InputAccel Express significantly reduce processing times and costs by managing document preparation, scanning, image enhancement, indexing and quality control verification of the data extracted from paper, faxes, e-mails and electronic data streams. Once captured, Hyland says, OnBase empowers users to retrieve, revise, annotate, distribute or post documents to a Web site. The system integrates seamlessly with ERP, CRM and other e-business applications to create a single point of online access to all relevant information
