LogiXML has added Geographic Information System (GIS) integration with Google Maps for location-based analysis to Logi 8, a pure Web-based BI solution that includes managed and ad hoc reporting, OLAP analysis and BI data services for technical and non-technical users in organizations of all sizes.

LogiXML says the GIS Mapping feature allows users to visualize the geographic portion of their business data to support location-based analysis. Further, the company explains, the Google Maps integration element in Logi 8 enables customers to effectively use city, state and zip code to visualize and analyze data in terms of geographic impact. Google Maps also offers users the option to "geo-code” addresses by showing longitude/latitude locations using markers on a map. These customizable graphical markers can link to other Logi 8 reports for users to identify and explore anomalies and potential problems.

LogiXML believes integration of Google Maps with Logi 8 provides new ways to promote understanding and decision-making around key trends in a particular location or region.
